It’s a pleasure for us to announce that two accelopment supported projects, XoSoft and CHEOPS, are going to be funded. XoSoft (Soft modular biomimetic exoskeleton to assist people with mobility impairments), the spiritual successor to Robo-Mate, was handed in under the ICT-24-2015 call and accelopment will be supporting the project as an “Application, Dissemination & Exploitation” partner. The project is to be led by Prof. Darwin Caldwell and Dr. Jesus Ortiz from IIT.
The second project, CHEOPS (Production technology to achieve low Cost and Highly Efficient phOtovoltaic Perovskite Solar cells), will be funded under the H2020-LCE-2015-1 call. Addressing the topic “LCE-02-2015: Developing the next generation technologies of renewable electricity and heating/cooling – a) Photovoltaics”. accelopment will be supporting this project in the following areas: Project management, dissemination and exploitation.
The chances of a Horizon 2020 project receiving funding currently stand at 12 to 14 per cent. Under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) about one in five projects were funded. When comparing these numbers, having two projects funded represents a big win for accelopment.
