Office Assistant (ca. 40%)

We are looking to hire a student as Office Assistant (40%) starting at 1 July 2017 or upon agreement. Working hours are flexible, especially during exam period at University.

Company: accelopment supports technology-oriented companies and universities in their participation in publicly funded innovative projects. We are specialised in European funding programmes for innovation subsidies, especially Horizon 2020. Our services comprise funding consulting, proposal writing, contract negotiations with the European Commission to project management and project communications. Additionally, we actively participate as a partner in more than a dozen EU funded projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management, particularly finances , reporting and meeting organisation
  • Support with proposal writing, incl. developing figures and charts
  • Administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Student at a University
  • Excellent command of English and German (Proficiency Level)
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Other IT skills are a plus, for example InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organisational skills

Internship Project Communications

Our services stretch from funding advice, proposal writing, contract negotiations with the European Commission to project management and project communications. Additionally, we actively participate as a partner for project management and dissemination in many EU funded projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of our project communications activities
  • Development of communication plans for technological innovation projects
  • Implementation of online activities and print materials for ongoing projects
  • Maintenance of communication platforms (document management, social media)
  • Support with general project activities

Requirements:

  • University degree or studies in a relevant area
  • Work experience in marketing and communications is an advantage
  • Excellent user skills in MS Office
  • Advanced InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop user skills are an advantage
  • Native speaker German or English and proficient skills in the other language
  • Flexibility

Project Communications in Science Field

We are specialised in European funding programmes for innovation subsidies, especially the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union. Our services stretch from funding advice, proposal writing, contract negotiations with the European Commission to project management and project communications. Additionally, we actively participate as a partner for project management and dissemination in many EU funded projects.

To support our team in Zurich we are looking for a Project Manager in Science Communications (60-100%) for the following tasks:

  • Communications of innovative European projects
  • Planning and implementation of communication strategies
  • Creation of print material in InDesign and digital communication material using web-based tools
  • Content management of project websites using Drupal and other content management systems
  • Composing project related press releases, short articles and other texts (primarily in English)
  • Organisation of international project events
  • Support in project management – including administrative tasks, compiling reports, curating content in IT tools (e.g. document management system, web-based collaboration software) and organisation of project meetings
  • Support in writing grant proposals: web searches, writing, editing and evaluating
  • Cooperation with academic and industrial project partners from across Europe

Requirements:

  • Degree in communications or other related area with multiple years of experience or relevant professional activity in the above mentioned tasks
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific and/or technological issues to different target groups in German and English
  • English or German mother tongue with very good knowledge of the other language (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or equivalent required)
  • Excellent IT user knowledge (very good MS Office and ideally good InDesign knowledge; very good knowledge in handling content management systems and other web-based tools is of advantage) and high IT affinity
  • High quality awareness and pleasure in independent, flexible work
  • Graphical flair and technical understanding
  • Interested in technology-oriented topics
  • Readiness to occasionally travel in Switzerland and Europe
