Jeanette founded accelopment and has over 30 years of experience in the acquisition and management of publicly funded projects in different disciplines and sectors, including life sciences, Green Deal and digital transformation. Specialised in R&I projects funded under the EU research framework programmes, Jeanette holds an MSc in Economic Geography (Universität Bayreuth, DE / Université de Perpignan, FR) and a PhD in European grants (Aberystwyth University, UK). She is also a qualified Medical Device Consultant and a certified Board Member. Thanks to her entrepreneurial activities, Jeanette knows how to organise projects efficiently, run companies and serve different stakeholders.

Research & Innovation Manager

At accelopment Switzerland, Johannes is responsible for managing EU projects with a focus on energy, environment, materials and manufacturing. With more than 15 years of experience as a research manager and grant writer, he has successfully supported researchers and enterprises in acquiring and managing research funding for projects under European programmes such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, or Eurostars. Johannes holds an MSc in Geophysics (LMU Munich, DE) and earned a PhD at ETH Zurich.

Julia oversees accelopment’s business operations, including HR. With over 20 years’ experience in marketing and communication services, she develops and implements project communication strategies. She supports EU projects from proposal writing to planning and implementation, contributing a deep understanding of EU funding. Julia is bilingual in English and German and holds a BSc in International Management from Zurich University of Applied Sciences, CH.

Jacqueline supports researchers in turning ambitious ideas into competitive EU-funded projects. She has over 12 years of experience in funding advice, proposal writing, grant preparation and project management. With a background in history and communications, she helps researchers shape their ideas into compelling grant proposals and provides hands-on management support for collaborative research projects. She also leads the MSCA Doctoral Networks activities at accelopment.

Andreia specialises in R&D and innovation projects across mobility, advanced materials, digital technologies, energy, manufacturing and life sciences. With experience in academia and industry, she brings expertise in project management, leadership, innovation management and stakeholder engagement. Known for her pragmatic approach, she supports organisations in developing and implementing collaborative innovation projects. She holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Economics and Innovation Management from the University of Porto.

Eva supports researchers throughout the entire grant lifecycle, from strategic grant planning and proposal development to grant preparation and project management. Drawing on her background in biomedical engineering research, she is experienced in coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects and fostering effective collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Passionate about advancing science and innovation, Eva joined accelopment to help researchers secure funding and deliver high-impact projects with efficiency and confidence. Eva holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich. She is a native speaker of Catalan and Spanish and is fluent in English and German.

Patrick manages EU-funded research and innovation projects throughout their lifecycle, from proposal development and grant preparation to implementation. Working across different scientific fields, he guides international consortia through complex processes and fosters effective collaboration among project partners. Known for his structured and pragmatic approach, Patrick also helps shape accelopment’s organisational development. He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Zurich.

Project Manager Communications

Miriam manages EU projects from proposal preparation to project implementation, focusing on communication, dissemination and exploitation. She brings 12+ years of experience in strategic communication, digital storytelling and stakeholder engagement. She holds dual BA degrees in Audio-visual Communication and in Advertising and Public Relations, an MScR in Social Communication (University of the Basque Country, ES), and an MA in Artificial Intelligence (Big School), and specialises in applying AI to communication and innovation processes in EU R&D and Innovation projects.

Anastasiia brings expertise in project management and communications, gained at the International Research & Exchanges Board, where she supported USAID-funded projects and events with international government representatives. A former ICAO Aviation English instructor, she holds a BA in English Language and World Literature Teaching and an MA in Aviation Production Management, complemented by training in UX design, infographics, motion design and illustration.

Alexandra is involved in EU projects from proposal support to project implementation, focusing on communication and dissemination. She also contributes to our internal process optimisation. She brings 6 years of cross-sectoral experience and is skilled in translating complex information into clear messages. She holds an MA in International Law and a BA in International Affairs (University of St. Gallen, CH) and is a native speaker of English, German, French and Russian.

Project Communications Associate

With more than six years in biomedical research, Blanca brings first-hand scientific insight to her work in communications. For over four years, she has developed outreach activities and supported international research collaborations and projects. Her academic training includes a BSc in Biotechnology, an MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and an MSCA ITN PhD. She is also Vice-Chair of the Bridging Science and Business Working group at the MCAA. Fluent in Spanish, English and French.

Project Communications Associate

Kira holds a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Oxford, where she gained hands-on experience in an interdisciplinary life science research environment. Alongside her research, she contributed to outreach and science communication activities, strengthening her ability to translate complex scientific topics into clear, accessible and visually engaging formats. Her teaching and leadership experience further developed her didactic, organisational and interpersonal skills. At accelopment, Kira applies her scientific background and communication expertise to support EU-funded research and innovation projects.

Finance & Administration Manager

Yannic oversees the company’s financial and administrative processes and supports project managers with financial reporting and the preparation of EUREKA Eurostars proposals. He also contributes to improving internal processes by identifying and implementing new tools and software to increase efficiency. He holds an MA in Business Innovation and a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, as well as a degree in Business Education.

Project Assistant

Luise joined accelopment to support European researchers with presenting their important achievements by combining her experience in media design, marketing, and communications with scientific outreach. Her bilingual education in German and English allow her to find engaging ways of conveying complex information to different audiences. She holds a BSc in Earth Science (University of California, Santa Barbara, USA) and currently pursues a MSc in Atmospheric and Climate Science (ETH Zürich, CH).

At accelopment, Jakub is supporting the team in proposal writing and project management while pursuing an MSc in Computer Science (ETH Zürich, CH). He graduated cum laude with a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering (TU Delft, NL), during which he worked closely with researchers and professors to translate technical concepts into clear and digestible material. His research experience and understanding of the challenges researchers face enable him to approach tasks in an effective manner.

Apolline supports the accelopment team in the development and implementation of European research and innovation projects. Fluent in English, French, and German, she brings experience in intercultural interpretation and science communication.
